Briande: the secret cove of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez

An invitation to swim, to laze in the sun

or to snorkel in unforgettable waters

You spot it around a headland, almost by surprise: the crique de Briande reveals itself like a well-kept secret, nestled in the heart of the maquis. No harbour, no crowds, just the soft sound of waves against the rocks and the scent of sun-warmed pines. Arriving by boat, the sea seems to open a passage into a world apart, between sky and silence. Tucked between Cap Taillat and Cap Lardier, the water here is of a startling clarity, the seabed carpeted with pale light, and every detail of the landscape seems held in a kind of natural perfection. The beach at Briande, with its fine sand and its wild character, invites you to drop anchor and forget about time. There is something exotic about this place, almost unreal, like a distant echo of the Seychelles quietly set down on the Var coastline. This is not a place you visit: it is a place you savour.

How to get there

Briande is accessible exclusively by boat from the Quai Claude Meiffret in Saint-Tropez, approximately 25 to 30 minutes away. Anchoring on the posidonia seagrass beds is prohibited: mooring buoys are available. Booking: +33 6 10 25 61 26 or WhatsApp.
